Get Involved

If you’d like to bring a show to us, we’d love to hear from you.

Post Show Talks

Most of our programme allows the opportunity for you to engage with the professionals that have created the work at the end of the performance. Check out the specific show details for more information.

Training and Workshops

We’ll be developing a range of training opportunities alongside our programme, some facilitated by our companies and some by other organisations or partners. Check the website regularly or sign up to our mailing list for updates.

Artistic Development

We are on the look out for the best companies and performance work. We want to be able to bring award winning theatre and performing arts companies from around the UK to Sheffield. We’d like to support and nurture the best talent and encourage and support new and exciting ground breaking work. We will work with a range of local and national partners to develop and support new and vibrant theatre. We hope to enable and support audiences to take a risk with us. We’d very much like to raise the aspirations of the companies, artists, students and audiences we engage with.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an eclectic range of theatre from comedy to cabaret, spoken word, physical theatre through to dance (however we do not have a sprung dance floor so dance companies we need to take this into consideration before approaching us). We are keen to programme challenging work and keen to present pieces which are thought provoking and will excite audiences. We’re committed to presenting strong new work and are passionate about creative development opportunities for our Students.

How to apply

If you are interesting in performing as part of the Enable US Project and presenting your work within our programme, please email performancevenues@sheffield.ac.uk with ‘Enable US’ in the subject field. Tell us as much as possible about your work and if possible, include press reviews, background info about the creative team, information about where the work has been presented previously, potential tour dates and how we can see the piece. We’re not taking R&D applications currently but will be approaching companies directly.
